ABOUT LIVING STONES ACADEMY

Living Stones Academy (LSA) is a Christian homeschool co-op that meets one day a week in the Lindale, TX area for fun, educational classes. We seek to be a supportive community of families that, by enriching activities and academic accountability, help each other homeschool our children to build up wisdom, act in faith, and pursue truth (1 Peter 2:4-5).

LSA’s methodology combines neoclassical and Charlotte Mason education in a Godly atmosphere, leading to the formation of good habits and upstanding character. We recognize three developmental stages of childhood learning: Grammar, Dialectic, and Rhetoric.

 

Grammar Stage (PreK-5th)

Students memorize, imitate, learn definitions, and explore their world.
 

Dialectic Stage (6th-9th)

Students ask questions, wrestle with ideas, embrace logic, and come to a deeper understanding.

Rhetoric Stage (10th-12th)

Students express themselves elegantly and persuasively, leading others into the goodness, truth, and beauty they have learned to embrace.
