Testimonials

At Living Stones Academy, our greatest encouragement comes from the families who walk alongside us each semester. Their experiences reflect the heart of our co-op: Christ-centered community, meaningful learning, and lasting relationships. We are continually grateful for the families God brings to LSA and are honored to partner together in educating the next generation.

"Our family has been part of LSA since it first began, and it has truly been a blessing in our lives. With two boys and two girls all participating over the years, we've experienced firsthand the heart and dedication that make LSA so special. From the very first teacher's meeting, I knew this was going to be a great place for my family. One of the things we value most is the strong foundation of Christian values. I truly love the kids at our school. They make Tuesdays so fun. The co-op is full of parents stepping in to share their gifts and give our kids an encouraging environment to learn. Our kids have not only learned so much academically, but they've also built lasting friendships and gained confidence through the variety of classes and activities offered. It's been amazing to watch them grow up with the other children and to be surrounded by like-minded families. We are so thankful to be part of a co-op that feels like an extension of our family. It's a place where everyone is valued, supported, and encouraged."

Living Stones Academy has taken our homeschool experience to a whole new level of fun and learning. While we've always enjoyed hands-on activities at home—science experiments, art classes, and even short dramas—now my kids get to share these experiences with all their friends, and they love it even more.”

"Our son has cerebral palsy.  Up until the pandemic, he attended public school where he had the services he needed for his disability.  We realized during the pandemic that he was not being educated to standards that meet his potential.  Although we said we would never homeschool him, we felt the Lord speaking clearly that moving forward we would be a homeschool family.  It has not always been easy, but it has been a blessing to educate him in an environment that allows us to filter every subject through the lens of our Christian faith.
This is our family’s first year at Living Stones Academy (LSA).  We feel like the Lord has given us a great group of Christian parents to come alongside on Tuesdays and educate our children together in core academics and electives.  We benefit from learning from other parents and our son benefits from learning under other adults and alongside his peers.  LSA is a community that cares about each other, uplifts each other, and shines Jesus into the lives of the children on its campus each week.  It is also neat that LSA families meet outside of on-campus days to do activities as a group.  This allows more time for socialization and to deepen relationships.
Our son loves the variety of classes LSA offers and that he has a say in which ones he chooses.  This year he had the opportunity to do a deep dive into studies on the Titanic and the Holocaust for history.  In his electives, he spent time learning about History of Weapons and Passport to Adulthood(a class on maturing into adulthood).  These are just a few of the quality courses available at LSA that he has enjoyed.
There really is so much that our family enjoys about LSA.  I feel it is a gift for us and others to have found this co-op.  The directors love the Lord, and you can tell that in how the co-op is run.  Personally, we have enjoyed this year of homeschooling much more than in any previous years and we are prayerful that we can continue to have the opportunity to learn with our LSA families.
